This is an ad for a dog walk/show. I came across it while looking for a race that I would be able to run with my dog. I am not sure where this was taking place but I know that it is in a state on the west coast so I dont think that I will be attending that one!

I love the color choices in this piece. They are organic and bold. The layout is vertical with the text layed out both horizontally and vertically. All the paw graphics and text lead your eyes to the dog graphic at the top. The interpretted silhoutte of the dog with the rays behind it really stands out and makes you want to look at it more. I like how the outline of the dog has taken the shape of a certian type of dog but can be used to represent all types of dogs. All in all i believe that this is a very sucessful and appealing advertisement.

I like the strong vertical orientation. Because it is unconventional it draws attention. I also like the how the paw prints down the side were used as subtle reinforcement of the main graphic.
