This is the latest wedding invitation that I have created for my brother's upcoming wedding. I worked with them, as my "clients," to achieve what they wanted. They chose the colors and style that they wanted me to work in. When we established that, I was able to take want they wanted and turn it into what you see here. This wasnt my first idea though. I had created several different layouts with different graphics and text. Once they picked the graphics and text they liked I made some with those specifications in different layouts. This was not the idea that they initally envisioned. They wanted the bride and groom graphic to be to the left of the text and the text reading down the side. I made one in that layout they requested and one in the layout you see here. Once they saw this one they realized that it was much more effective this way, they loved it! I wanted to achieve something that was elegant, modern and playful. The text conveys that this is an elegant event while the bride and groom/love graphics are rather whimsical. The blue border adds enough color without taking away from the rest of the invitation. What you can't really see is that both the bride and groom graphic as well as the love in script at the bottom are embossed in silver. The silver also added to the elegance of this piece. This invitation is effective communicating the event information while making that information visually pleasing.
